Dry Needling & Remedial Massage in Broome

Dry Needling

Dry Needling is typically used by Remedial Massage Therapists, Physios, Chiros or Osteos to effectively and quickly release muscular tension, tightness and in some cases trigger points.

Dry Needling uses similar needles to acupuncture.  It works on creating a twitch or heavy dull ache in the muscle so that it relaxes the muscle and releases a trigger point.

At Creating Balance Natural Therapies, we may suggest using Dry Needling techniques within a Remedial Massage treatment.  The therapist will always discuss with the client prior to the beginning of their Remedial Massage to make sure they are aware of what Dry Needling is, if it will benefit them and if they wish to receive this therapy.

Myofascial Cupping

Fascia is the network of connective tissue that runs through your muscles and keeps your organs in place.  Myofascial Cupping is a technique used in a Remedial Massage for the myofascial release of the fascia or connective tissue.

Myofascial Cupping uses vacuum or silicone cups. Soft tissue is suctioned into the cup which is then gently moved over the body to stretch and massage the tissue.

This detoxifies the muscles, bring fresh blood and nutrients to the muscles to aid healing and provides better movement and mobility.

Heat is brought to the area and often redness appears.  “Marks” or darker circles that are produced are often a sign of trauma, stagnation or toxins that have been trapped in the muscles and are brought to the surface.

Myofascial Cupping is an extremely effective therapy and one we enjoy using in our Remedial Massages.  We’ve had great success in treating (but not limited to):

  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Shin Splints
  • Lower back and upper back pain
  • Stretching fascial lines of the body
  • Carpal tunnel
  • Frozen shoulder
